Thank you for supporting and helping to make Scholastic Challenge 2018 a great success. Many students produced some incredible scores in this year's academic competition.
1. Results and Awards
Our results and awards packages have been prepared and were mailed to participating schools on Monday, April 16. Our past experiences with Canada Post indicate that 3 days to 3 weeks is a normal delivery schedule, although a few packages have occasionally taken longer for some reason.
2. Questions and Answers
Each participating school was sent a copy of the contest questions with answers for follow-up activities by email on April 30. (If you cannot retrieve that email it may have been blocked or spammed. Let us know if you would like us to resend that email.)
3. Updated Archives
Our website's archive pages with award winners' names and schools will be updated with this year's results at the end of the school year (after June 30).
4. Awards Ceremonies
We encourage teachers, parents, and participants to send us any photos of winners or copies of local print media acknowledging students' performances so we can promote and share their achievements.
5. New School Recruitment Program
Teachers that have promoted Scholastic Challenge 2018 to at least 2 other schools or to 1 school that registered students in both grade 6 and grade 8 divisions will be contacted shortly to receive their "reward" (either a $70 registration fee refund, or a credit for their school's participation in Scholastic Challenge 2019). We hope to continue this program once again next year.
Thank you for your continued support and participation in Scholastic Challenge. Have a safe and happy summer!
The Canadian Scholastic Achievement League extends to you an invitation to enter your students in Scholastic Challenge 2018 taking place online in February and March, 2018. For the past twenty-two years, grade eight students have been provided with an entertaining and challenging enrichment activity that allows them to demonstrate a variety of problem solving skills and knowledge in many academic areas. Seven years ago, we added a second division that is designed to academically challenge students in grade six.
Your students will enjoy competing in our online competition with other grade eight or grade six students from all regions of Canada. They will be able to compete as individuals and also as members of your school's team in a unique, interesting and educational program.
Trophies, plaques, medals and certificates will be awarded for achievement in individual and school team categories in both the grade six and grade eight divisions.
To register your grade six or grade eight students, or both, please select the grade appropriate Teacher Registration link from our navigation above, and complete and submit by December 15, 2017.
It is our hope that Scholastic Challenge 2018 will stimulate your students' quest for knowledge, and provide them with the joy and satisfaction of meeting new academic challenges.
We look forward to your participation.
