Scholastic Challenge 2021

Pandemic Update

We are continuing to monitor Covid-19 developments, and how schools are responding for the next few months.

We will adjust our competition completion dates to reflect challenges to in-school learning, and provide regular updates.

We are still accepting registrations for Scholastic Challenge 2021.

The pandemic has severely affected our participation numbers, but we will proceed with Scholastic Challenge 2021 as in previous years. We really need your support and participation more than ever during this pandemic.

Please note the following:

1. If you have not yet registered but still wish to enter your students in Scholastic Challenge 2021, please go to the grade appropriate Teacher Registration link above and register your grade 6 or grade 8 students, or both, as soon as possible. We will send an "information and student password" email shortly after.

2. If you have registered your students in Scholastic Challenge 2021, you will have received an email containing instructions and User Names and Passwords for your students between January 13 and 15. If you are unable to retrieve that email, please check your spam folder or contact us as soon as possible, as our email may have been  blocked.

3. Last year's contest posed numerous challenges due to Covid-19, such as lockdowns of many participating schools, as well as our awards providers. We are hoping that by extending our competition time frame, and avoiding another total lockdown, we can offer Scholastic Challenge 2021, with results and awards being sent out by the end of April, as in pre-pandemic years.

‚ÄčThank you for your support and participation.

The Canadian Scholastic Achievement League extends to you an invitation to enter your students in Scholastic Challenge 2021 taking place online in February and March, 2021. For the past twenty-five years, grade eight students have been provided with an entertaining and challenging enrichment activity that allows them to demonstrate a variety of problem solving skills and knowledge in many academic areas. Ten years ago, we added a second division that is designed to academically challenge students in grade six.

Your students will enjoy competing in our online competition with other grade eight or grade six students from all regions of Canada. They will be able to compete as individuals and also as members of your school's team in a unique, interesting, and educational program.

Trophies, plaques, medals and certificates will be awarded for achievement in individual and school team categories in both the grade six and grade eight divisions.

To register your grade six or grade eight students, or both, please select the grade appropriate
Teacher Registration link from our navigation above, and complete and submit by December 15, 2020.

It is our hope that Scholastic Challenge 2021 will stimulate your students' quest for knowledge, and provide them with the joy and satisfaction of meeting new academic challenges.

We look forward to your participation.
